Every EARTHED product is made from a small number of natural, ancestral ingredients — things like grass-fed tallow, raw cow's milk, beeswax, olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter. No synthetic fillers, no parabens, no seed oils. Just ingredients that have nourished skin for centuries.
If you've noticed names like limonene, citral or linalool in our ingredients list, these are not synthetic additives — they are naturally occurring compounds found within the essential oils we use, such as lemon, lime and lavender. UK and EU cosmetic regulations require these to be declared by name on the label when present above a certain concentration, even when they occur naturally. They are simply part of what makes a natural essential oil smell the way it does. If you have a known sensitivity to any of these compounds, we recommend opting for our Plain (unscented) varieties, which contain none of them.
Yes — all of our products are formulated with gentle, natural ingredients and are suitable for sensitive skin. Some of our scented soap varieties contain essential oils which can occasionally cause mild reactions in very sensitive individuals. If your skin is particularly reactive, we recommend opting for the Plain (unscented) version of our soaps.
Our soap bars have a shelf life of 12 months. The Tallow Body Balm and Lip Balm both last up to 6 months. With regular daily use, a soap bar typically lasts 4–6 weeks depending on usage.
Never. Every ingredient in every EARTHED product is 100% natural. We believe what you put on your skin matters just as much as what you put in your body, and we formulate accordingly.
All products are best stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For the soap, keeping it dry between uses will extend its life — a draining soap dish is ideal. For the Tallow Balm, be aware that tallow is a natural fat and its consistency may soften on very hot days — this is completely normal and does not affect the product. Simply store it somewhere cool and it will return to its usual consistency.
Most of our products contain animal-derived ingredients — our raw milk soap contains grass-fed cow's milk, our tallow balm is made from beef tallow, and our lip balm contains beeswax. These are ingredients we are proud to use, sourced from British farms. For customers who prefer a vegan option, our Olive Oil Soap is made entirely from plant-based ingredients.

Our soaps are primarily designed as body and hand soaps, but the ingredients are genuinely cleaner than most dedicated facial skincare products on the market. If it works for your skin, there's no reason you can't use it on your face — just patch test on your neck first if you have sensitive skin. The raw milk soap is particularly popular as a facial cleanser thanks to its lactic acid content, which gently exfoliates and brightens. Start with the Plain (unscented) variety if your skin is reactive.
Our Tallow Body Balm is also excellent for the face. Tallow closely mimics the skin's natural oils, making it deeply nourishing without clogging pores — many of our customers use it as a daily facial moisturiser.

Raw cow's milk is one of nature's most skin-compatible ingredients. It contains lactic acid — a natural AHA that gently exfoliates and promotes cell renewal — as well as vitamins A, D and E, and natural fats that deeply moisturise. Unlike processed alternatives, raw milk retains all of its natural enzymes and nutrients, making it far more effective for the skin. It's the kind of ingredient our ancestors used long before synthetic skincare existed.
